My name is Agata Ziemniewicz. My first contact with the Alexander Technique was in 2007. At that time I was studying solo singing at the Frederic Chopin High school of Music in Warsaw, Poland. Unfortunately, stress and environmental pressure made my body tense and my voice ‘empty’. By pure accident I found myself at one of the Alexander Technique courses in Poland led by Magdalena Kędzior and Elizabeth Iwanowska. The technique captivated me with its simplicity to the extent that after attending more courses and private sessions and graduating from my school I went to London to study the method. In 2014 I completed my teacher training studies at The Centre for the Alexander Technique under the guidance of the longest established Alexander Technique teacher trainers in the UK – Ellie and Peter Ribeaux and became a certified teacher.
